Brief Department Overview
At Environmental Defense Fund, we believe that environmental progress and economic growth can and must go hand in hand. The EDF+Business program works with leading companies and investors to raise the bar for corporate sustainability leadership by setting aggressive, science based goals; collaborating for scale across industries and global supply chains; publicly supporting smart environmental safeguards; and accelerating environmental innovation. The EDF+Business program seeks to achieve excellence in financial oversight by providing accurate and timely financial information to the EDF+Business leadership team, program staff, Finance Department, Board of Trustees, and donors by adhering to established financial practices and accounting principles.
As a key member of the EDF+Business program, the Program Financial Analyst will develop, track and analyze program budgets and fundraising proposals and reports, will organize and present complex financial data for reporting and decision-making, and will oversee all financial processes for the program. This requires an interest and understanding of our program work, a willingness to engage with staff to create budgets that support our work, and deep integrity to uphold EDF's high financial standards. The Program Financial Analyst will work with staff throughout the program and in other departments to ensure the production of timely, accurate and insightful financial information. This position reports to the Director of Operations for EDF+Business and will work very closely with EDF's Finance Department.
