Project Manager, Youth Council Program
EDF's Health Program is committed to improving the public's health by dramatically reducing exposure to toxic chemicals and pollution increasingly linked to chronic disease risks that are rising in the U.S. population. We work on a range of legislative, regulatory, scientific, and market-oriented projects aimed at reducing exposures and improving public health.
The Project Manager, Youth Council Program will be responsible for providing program and administrative support for EDF's Houston Environmental Health Youth Council program, and for other community outreach projects in Houston as needed. Under the supervision of the Health team's Air Pollution Policy Manager, this person will support project management of all partners involved in the Youth Council program, and will be the primary point of contact coordinating with high schools, school districts, and other project partners (such as the Health Museum in Houston and Rice University) participating in the program. He/she will facilitate program implementation in close coordination with administrative staff and faculty at the high schools. The Coordinator will also serve as the main point of contact for a program evaluation consultant, and will facilitate access to high school partners and other resources as needed for program evaluation.
This position is remote in Houston in the Environmental Health program.
